Provides assistance to rough sleepers at night time. Services include finding accommodation, transporting people to accommodation where vacancies exist and offering sleeping bags and blankets for harm minimisation.

Dublin Simon – Outreach Team

Information and support for rough sleepers. Identifies and assesses the needs of rough sleepers aged 18+ and intervenes as necessary. Provides information and support to rough sleepers and those in danger of losing unsupported emergency accommodation. Develops case management approach to enable service users to progress from rough sleeping to suitable accommodation.

Dublin Simon – Soup Run

Nightly soup run service in the city centre. Volunteers make and maintain contact with rough sleepers, provide basic information about services and link them to the Outreach team for further support.

Focus Ireland – Extension Outreach Services

Street outreach service establishing trusting relationships with people sleeping rough and encouraging them to link into Focus Ireland’s day services. Outreach staff provide advocacy, information, practical help and food. The service works in conjunction with Focus Ireland – Extension Day Service.

Salvation Army – Cedar House Night Reception

Assistance to rough sleepers at night. Staff liase with statutory and voluntary agencies to secure accommodation or provide emergency assistance if no accommodation is available. In winter periods and extreme weather conditions, some emergency sleeping bags/blankets are available. Shower facilities available.
