Coolmine, in conjunction with Cork Local Drug and Alcohol Task Force and Southern Regional Drug and Alcohol Task Force has developed six community-based hubs to provide localised support for those in the Southwest region impacted by problem substance use. These hubs are located in Cork City North, Cork City South, North Cork, West Cork, East Cork and Kerry.
Our Cork City North hub is a day programme based in the heart of The Glen in Cork City. Our Cork City North team is ready to meet clients at whatever stage they’re at in their journey, whether an individual is taking the first step towards recovery or is taking part in a full or part-time programme. Coolmine Cork City North provides a supportive setting to build self-confidence and skills to maintain recovery.
What do we offer?
Our staff run a variety of programmes to suit peoples’ unique needs, from preparing someone for treatment to providing tailored evidence-based care and also providing support to family and friends who are impacted by their loved one’s substance use.

What types of addiction do you treat?
We offer support in a safe and supportive space where individuals can tackle the underlying issues that brought them into addiction. We give people the support, the time and most importantly the space to recover. We work with:
- Alcohol
- Drugs (including opiates, cocaine, etc.)
- Prescription Drugs/Medication
- Gambling
- Family/Friends Support

All of Coolmine’s full/part-time day services are free of charge
